The Abbner Home for Crippled Soldiers website

This is the website for a Role Playing Game Bob runs for some gaming buddies. The game is set in World War II but in a world where magic, vampires, crazy science and so on all exist. The game is about a secret unit of the British army whose mission is to find and destroy the Nazi occult forces where ever they appear.

If you don’t know what a role playing game is most of this page will not make much sense. If you got here from bobandtyann.com feel free to click around if you like. Be warned what follows contains references to Nazis, the occult, monsters and the fighting and destruction of same. If somehow it is not obvious – nothing here is to be construed as support for Nazis, the occult, monsters et cetera. However support for the fighting against and destruction of Nazis, the occult, and monsters should be assumed.

The Abbner Home for Crippled Soldiers:
The Abbner Home for Crippled Soldiers is the front used by the secret base. The idea is taken from a real base set up by the British Ministry of War during WWII that was a prison for high-value Germans (captured spies) disguised as a home for the elderly. The home base for the Alternate Threat Section in the game is disguised as the Abbner Home, with fake signs, fake deliveries and great care taken to hide the true nature of what goes on at the Abbner Home campus.

Special Operations Executive:
The SOE was a real organization in the British military during WWII. The SOE was tasked with spying and support of resistance groups in occupied Europe, among other more secret endeavors.

Alternate Threats Section:
Alternate Threats Section is a fictional group under the SOE. The Alternate Threat Section is a special secret unit created directly by Prime Minister Churchill to counter the threat of Nazi occult units.
