Erna Bast:
A Nazi SS Sorcerer and suspected member of the Thule Society.
Bast was part of the Death’s Head assault on Les Escaradine intent
on summoning a great storm using the henge on the La Salle
property. Bast was grievously wounded in the ensuing battle,
although radio intercepts indicate she survived for a least a few
hours after the battle. Her survival was confirmed when she
participated in the ambush that nearly led to the capture of Mr.
Ramses in an ancient Libyan tomb.
Obersturmbannführer Rolfe Skell:
A member of the command staff for the SS Tote Kopf, or “Death’s
Head” division. Intelligence indicates Obst. Skell lead the assault
on Les Escaradine but he was not positively ID’d in the battle.
Rolfe is German for “wolf”. Skell was next seen driving away with
Mr. Ramses locked inside a sarcophagus in the ancient tomb. Ramses
was freed but Skell escaped.
Die Fledermaus:
The code name used by the Nazi handler of the traitor Tulley
Hennessy. Nothing is known of Fledermaus save Hennessy attributes to
him super natural powers. Fledermaus is German for “bat”. Most
recently Fledermaus was named by the Nazi spy inside Professor
Harling's cult as the contact to whom the spy sold out the pilot
hero James Nichols.
Silvano Ferretti:
Commander of an elite Italian recon unit. First Company first
met Ferretti at a diplomatic dinner, then a poker game, and finally
in wheeling vehicle combat on the Libyan desert. At one point
Ferretti had First Company, and their LRDG guides, on the brink of
destruction but he inexplicably retreated. Woodnell holds a grudge
for all three encounters.
Dr. Johannes Plendl:
Doctor Plendl is a Germany's leading scientist in radio, radar,
and related technologies. Plendl established a command post in the
Greek village of Kotronas and from there directed the use of several
new super-weapons during the battle of Crete. Surveys of Plendl's
pre-war research revealed not only his excellent theories regarding
the radio spectrum but also a fascination with Earth's upper
atmosphere - and beyond. First Company made
a raid to capture Plendl but he escaped using a super-science rocket
pack.
Professor Harling:
Owner of a large manor estate near North Pinning, Lancashire,
Harling appeared a kindly, eccentric retired scholar. In reality he
lead a cult that ensnared most of the village and was himself a
powerful sorcerer. He devoted his energy and loyalty to a
terrible Queen from a magical land who was better suited as villain in
a child's story. Although his cult was destroyed and his plot to bring
his Queen to our world foiled he escaped on his talking horse.
